Police resume search for missing toddler when he fell into the River Soar in Braunstone, Leicestershire, last night.
Emergency services at the scene near Aylestone Road, Braunstone A major search is continuing after a two-year-old child fell into River Soar in Leicestershire. More than 12 hours have passed since the boy was reported missing in the water in Braunstone while out with his family. Fears are growing that he has drowned, and emergency services have continued with the search.
‘I have been walking my dog for nearly two hours and they have people in the river looking for the child, there are so many police and fire service people down on the canal banks with big ores trying to search,’ one said. Many people have rallied around the family and emergency services and offered support in the search. The search for the boy is continuing The search for the boy began at 5pm on Sunday But Leicestershire Police have urged them not to go near the river due to rising water levels.
