Major update for hundreds of thousands of SSE customers after Ovo takeover – check if you’re affected
OVO Energy has issued an update for SSE customers whose accounts are due to switch in the coming months.which is part of the "Big Six" has revealed exactly when hundreds of thousands of SSE customers will have their accounts moved over.A spokesperson to Ovo toldthat all remaining SSE customers will be moved over to the parent brand by the end of January 2024.
Up until now, Ovo hadn't given a timescale for when it expects all SSE domestic customers to switch over. Millions of customers have already moved over to Ovo from SSE but hundreds of thousands are still yet to do so. Once this process is complete the SSE Energy Services brand will cease to exist and all customers will have their gas and electricity managed directly by the Ovo Energy brand instead.
