Former Emmerdale actress Malandra Burrows has told of her agony as doctors mistakenly told her her breast cancer was a cyst.
Malandra, who played Kathy Glover on the ITV soap for 16 years, said of her journey: “I just happened to catch myself [while exercising] and thought: ‘Good grief, what’s that?’ “A week later I was at the hospital and the first consultant told me it was a cyst. He said: ‘I won’t be seeing you again.’ The relief I felt!”Malandra continued: “The consultant said they needed to see me as soon as possible and added, ‘Could you bring someone with you?
