Flames were shooting through the roof of the trailer in northern Lycoming County when firefighters arrived keeping them from attempting a rescue.

They did not identify the man and Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. said he would not until he was assured all family members were notified. Flames were through the roof when the first fire units arrived, Trout Run Chief Nick Smith. There was no way to attempt a rescue, he said.
