Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision involving a single car on the L1005 near Clonbullogue shortly after 11pm. The driver and sole occupant of the car, a man in his 30s, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “Gardaí in Tullamore are appealing for witnesses following a fatal traffic collision in Edenderry, Co. Offaly, on Monday, 20th May 2024. “The local Coroner was notified, and the deceased has been removed to the mortuary at Tullamore Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
