Five kgs of cocaine was discovered within baggage after Revenue officers stopped and searched a passenger who had arrived on a flight from Zurich
On Sunday , as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seized approximately five kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of €350,000.
A man in his 70s was arrested and subsequently charged by An Garda Síochána, before appearing before the courts on Monday morning.This seizure comes just days after Revenue officers seized suspected LSD at Dublin Airport. The illicit drugs were discovered when Revenue officers searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Amsterdam.
