Another man has been taken to hospital for injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road collision leaving one man dead and another in hospital.
The crash involving a car and a lorry occurred on the N5 at Bellanagare, Co Roscommon, at approximately 4pm yesterday. The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The lorry driver, another man in his 50s, was taken to Sligo University Hospital for assessment.The N5 at Bellanagare is currently closed for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are expected to be in place until this evening.
