The woman’s body was discovered at a property in the Hawthorne Court area of Bangor on Sunday afternoon.
An 85-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Police said enquiries are at an early stage.READ MORE: Body of young man, 20s, found in Co Tyrone lake as police enquiries begin In a statement, a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of the death of a woman at a house in the Hawthorne Court area of the city shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday, 2nd June.“Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and enquiries are at an early stage in order to determine exactly what has happened.
“An 85-year-old man was arrested at the property on suspicion of murder.
