It is said Jamal struck while the then 15 year-old was"asleep and intoxicated" making her incapable to give consent.The charge states the girl eventually wakened, but that he continued with the alleged sex attack. Jamal faces a separate accusation that he had been due to be in the dock at the High Court in Edinburgh on February 16 2015.It is claimed that"without reasonable" excuse, he failed to attend the hearing.
The case today called at the High Court in Glasgow, where Jamal's lawyers pled not guilty on his behalf.
