Man allegedly stabbed 25-year-old in the heart after being accused of stealing his phone
A man allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man to death after being accused of stealing his phone, a trial has heard.
Opening the prosecution case, Simon Blakebrough said that earlier on the afternoon of December 11 2021, Mr George was at Mr Williamson’s home on Battenberg Road in Bolton, along with a group of other people. A car then pulled up and Mr George spoke to the occupants before getting into the passenger seat. In CCTV footage played to the jury, Mr Williamson was seen to approach the car before arguing with Mr George.
After the attack, Mr Williamson told one of his friends he had been stabbed and they could see a large amount of blood on his t-shirt, it was said. The emergency services were called and an attending consultant paramedic had to perform open heart surgery on the street to restart his heart, the court heard.
