Gardai in Dublin seized over €150,000 worth of controlled drugs, including cannabis and crack cocaine, during a search of a property on Thursday, January 30. A man in his 40s was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure, which is part of Operation Tara, the national anti-drugs strategy.
A man has been arrested after Gardaí seized over €150,000 worth of controlled drugs following a search of a property in Co Dublin.
During the course of this search, approximately €100,000 worth of cannabis and €57,000 worth of crack cocaine was seized. All of the drugs seized during the Garda operation are now subject to examination by Forensic Science Ireland . Gardai confirmed that the man has since been charged and he was due to appear before Court 4 of the Criminal Courts of Justice on Friday afternoon. A Garda spokesperson said that investigations are ongoing.
The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels - international, national, local - involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
