A man has been arrested after an elderly woman was injured after her handbag was robbed during a shocking daylight theft in Co Louth.
At approximately 3.45pm a woman, aged in her 70s, was approached by a male and robbed of her handbag at Longwalk, Dundalk. A male, aged in his 20s, was arrested in relation to the incident and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in Louth.A Garda spokesperson: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an incident of robbery which occurred in Dundalk town, Louth today."
