It was around 3am on Thursday morning.
Police were called after concerned members of the public witnessed a BMW car driving northbound on the southbound carriageway near Rutherglen and Tradeston.A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged with the alleged incident.spokesperson said: “Around 3.10am on Thursday, 29 December, police received calls regarding a BMW driving northbound of the southbound carriageway of the M74 from Larkhall.
"Road Policing Units attended and a rolling roadblock was put in place on the motorway. No one was injured.""He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, 30 December.”
