'The windows were gone, there were flames coming out and the roof was just ablaze.'
Residents in a quiet Crossgar street have told of their shock after a house went up in flames in a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"There was thuds on our door and the neighbours were just saying 'if this fire starts jumping houses just get yourselves out'", said one person who lives in the area. "I came out and I was just talking to the neighbour and the guy that lives in the house wasn't even there when it happened," he said.
