A woman had to be cut free from a car and a driver was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and leaving the scene after a multi-car-crash near Newport.

The man was taken to hospital by police while the woman was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital by a crew from the West Midlands Ambulance Service. West Midlands Ambulance Service said:"We were called at around 1.15pm to reports of an RTC on Chester Road near Chetwynd, Newport.
