A man aged in his 40s was arrested in Dublin after Revenue seized 11kg worth of cannabis as part of an intelligence-led operation
A man in his 40s has been arrested after nearly a quarter of a million euros worth of cannabis was seized in Dublin.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Q District Drugs Unit.READ MORE: Garda Commissioner warns international far-right activists are trying to stir up trouble in Ireland "The seizure of approximately 11kgs of herbal cannabis was made by Revenue officers in the Lucan area of Co. Dublin, as a result of a joint operation by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau , the Q District Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service.
This is the latest cannabis seizure by Revenue in over a week. Throughout last week, Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Athlone seized over 18.4kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €368,200.
