A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault of a woman on a Luas tram in Dublin 10 days ago.
Gardaí in Kilmainham are continuing to investigate the alleged assault and have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident on board the Luas to come forward.The assault is alleged to have taken place between Jervis Street and Heuston Station at approximately 7:10pm on Sunday, October 29.
It is understood that the victim of the assault was approached from behind by a man on the Luas before she was attacked. She later made a statement to gardaí and an investigation was launched.“Gardaí in Kilmainham investigating the alleged assault of a female that is reported to have occurred on a Luas tram on the evening of Sunday, October 29 have arrested a man,” said the spokesperson.
