A man in his 70s arrested in connection with an investigation into Scouting Ireland was released without charge last night
A man in his 70s who was arrested in Cork in connection to sexual offences that were alleged to have happened over a 30-year period has been released without charge.The investigations into allegations of sexual offences surrounding Scouting Ireland are being co-ordinated by the Garda National Protective Services Bureau with individual cases being dealt with by local teams all over the country.
Gardaí say that the man, who was held at Togher Garda Station, was released last night and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
