Officers were called to Ben Alder Drive in Paisley on Wednesday afternoon where a car had allegedly hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 12-year-old boy, was left with serious injuries and immediately rushed to hospital.He is due to appear in court on Friday. A force spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a crash on Ben Alder Drive in Paisley involving a car and a 12-year-old pedestrian around 2pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
“The 12-year-old boy was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment for serious injuries. “A 68-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with this incident and he is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, October 14.
