Here are your Manchester City evening headlines on Friday, August 18.
John Stones has suffered an injury setback and will miss Manchester City's Premier League clash with Newcastle on Saturday, as will Bernardo Silva - while Kevin De Bruyne looks set to be out for longer than first feared.
Bernardo didn't travel to Greece through illness, while Dias was not officially in the travelling party but was with the City squad against Sevilla and named on the bench - he has trained since. City finished their Super Cup win over Sevilla in the early hours of Thursday morning in Greece, and face Newcastle at 8pm on Saturday. Guardiola sarcastically thanked the Premier League for not allowing them to play on Sunday or Monday in his post-match press conference this week.
City snapped up Croatian pair Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol from Chelsea and RB Leipzig respectively, while Treble winners Ilkay Gundogan departed for Barcelona and Riyad Mahrez moved to Saudi Arabia. Aymeric Laporte's future at the club is now a hot topic too after City accepted an offer from Al Nassr for his services. Keep an eye on that one over the next couple of days.
