The Brazilian is on Manchester City's radar and Pep Guardiola could step up his pursuit after an injury blow for Kevin De Bruyne.

Manchester City will submit a second offer worth around £80million for Lucas Paqueta in the next 24 hours, according to reports.

The need for additional midfield creativity increased on Tuesday when Guardiola revealed that Kevin De Bruyne would be out for several months after a reoccurrence of a hamstring injury that could now need surgery. And Football Insider reports that they will go back to West Ham with an improved bid for Paqueta.

The former Barcelona winger is closing in on a €90m move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. However, it is claimed that the Blues were one of a handful of big-name European clubs who 'turned down' the opportunity to sign him, along with the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
