Rodney Taurean Lewis, 35, is awaiting sentencing and could face life in prison for an attack on the Irishwoman who was working in the US as an au pair
Mr Lewis was convicted of kidnapping with the intent to rape in a US court on Tuesday.
Mr Reilly said that CCTV from the bar shows the pair talking, taking shots of tequila and touching each other, and the woman is seen kissing Mr Lewis a few times. Prosecuting attorney Jonathan Beardsley said that Mr Lewis took the woman home and raped her either at the house or nearby. She was wearing the clothes she had been wearing the night before, but her skirt had been pushed up and her underwear was exposed.
