A man was found on fire in an east London park in the early hours of this morning. Medics and police were rushed to Central Park, East Ham at 2.20am, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The park has now been closed and cordoned off as a crime scene while police work to identify the man and his next of kin. A police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at approximately 02:20hrs on Thursday, 2 June by London Fire Brigade to reports of a man injured after being found on fire in the vicinity of Central Park, E6.
