Emergency services attended the scene
Emergency services were called to Ainsdale beach at around 1.15pm today . A man in his 50s died at the scene, having suffered a medical episode.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been informed. A file has been passed to the Coroner.People in the area reported seeing a significant emergency service presence this afternoon. Part of the beach was said to have been cordoned off.
