A man, aged in his 80s, has sadly passed away after suffering a sudden medical emergency at a supermarket in Cork this morning.
Emergency services including multiple National Ambulance Service units, a HSE air ambulance, Cork County Fire Service and Gardaí rushed to the scene and the air ambulance landed in a patch of land at the town playground, Cork Beo reports. The store was closed off to shoppers as paramedics rushed to try to save the man's life but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.It's understood the man was a local who lived in the town centre and was well-known in the community.
