Emergency services rushed to the scene of the fire at Kilmurry Village in the University of Limerick on Thursday night
Gardaí and emergency services, including a number of Limerick Fire Service units, rushed to the scene of the inferno at around 11:45pm, with crew attached to the fire station jumping into action to tackle the blaze.
A male was subsequently located deceased in the residence at Kilmurry Village in the University of Limerick, whose body remains at the scene. The scene is currently preserved and a technical examination will be conducted throughout Friday.
