Emergency services attended and a passenger in the car, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car has also been treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A young man has died in a collision on the N7 westbound in Dublin. The crash, involving a car and a truck, happened between Junction 4 and Junction 5 at around 9am on Saturday.
Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is asked to contact gardai. A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí and emergency services are attending the scene of a fatal road traffic collision between Junction 4 and Junction 5 on the N7 westbound, Co. Dublin, Saturday, 17th August 2024. "This stretch of road is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
