Three friends of the man's girlfriend's son were inside the vehicle at the time but none were injured.
A man was arrested early Sunday morning in Howell after he fired his gun at a rideshare vehicle with three juveniles aboard, authorities said.were called to a home on Carrie Drive around 12:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired and learned that three juvenile friends of the homeowner’s son were sitting in the son’s car awaiting the arrival of the rideshare vehicle, a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, according to a statement from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
When the trio got out of the car, they inadvertently set off its alarm system and got into the pickup truck, the office said. The truck was struck by three bullets, but its driver and the three juveniles were not injured, officials said.Ventricelli was arrested and charged with one count of attempted murder and weapons-related offenses, the office said.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Brian Migliorisi at 800-533-7443 or Howell Township Police Department Detective Ryan Jackson at 732-938-4575.
