An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in a Birmingham apartment Wednesday.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin said the death in under investigation. It was initially reported as a homicide, but Mauldin said they need more time to determine whether it was a homicide or self-inflicted. The victim, believed to be in his late 50s, had a single gunshot wound.
