Police in Belfast are investigating a suspected stabbing in the Templemore Avenue area. A man in his 50s was hospitalized with serious injuries after being allegedly stabbed in the neck during an altercation. A second man sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives in east Belfast have launched an investigation following a suspected stabbing. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) responded urgently to reports of a serious assault in the Templemore Avenue area of the city in the early hours of this morning. A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition after allegedly sustaining a stab wound to his neck during a confrontation. Detective Sergeant Alexander stated: 'Police received a report at approximately 2.

30am this morning, Thursday 23rd January, that two men had been attacked in the Templemore Avenue area. An altercation occurred, and a man aged in his 50s was allegedly stabbed in his neck – sustaining a serious injury. He required hospital treatment and remains in a serious, but stable condition. A second man reported non-life threatening injuries. Police attended the scene, including officers from our ARV and Dog Unit, and conducted an extensive search of the area for the two suspects. However, they were not located. Our enquiries are continuing today, and the Templemore Avenue area has now fully reopened.'
