Man injured in Linda Vista hit and run not expected to survive, police say [Breaking]
A pedestrian injured early Sunday in a hit-and-run crash near the University of San Diego in Linda Vista is not expected to survive his injuries, San Diego police said.
A 25-year-old woman who allegedly hit the man with her 2009 Nissan Versa initially fled after the crash, but she returned to the scene later and was taken into custody, police Office Sarah Foster said in a news release. The collision happened just after 2 a.m. as the driver of the Nissan was heading west on Linda Vista Road near Mollie Street, Foster said in the release.The pedestrian, described as male and 50 to 60 years old, stepped into the Nissan’s pathway and was struck, police said.The Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Division is handling the case.
