A man has been jailed for “blackmailing and issuing sinister threats” against a restaurant owner.
Gareth McGlinchey, 44 and from Summer Meadows View, Derry, was handed one year jail time over threats to kill the restaurant owner and his family.
The incidents related to a Portrush restaurant. Detectives from the PSNI’s Criminal Investigation Branch acknowledged the sentencing. “These ongoing threats left the victim extremely concerned for his own personal safety, as well as for the safety of his family.
