Ian Baitson passed away yesterday in Cork University Hospital following the attack which took place on Friday night.
A post-mortem on his body is set to be carried out today and the gardai will then decide if they will continue with a murder investigation. “The man was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment. He has since been pronounced deceased, this afternoon.”
