Man goes on trial for the murder of Det Garda Adrian Donohoe in Bellurgan, Co Louth in January 2013
Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe was shot dead while on duty at the Lordship Credit Union in Bellurgan, Co Louth on 25 January, 2013.
Aaron Brady from New Road, Crossmaglen in Co Armagh has pleaded not guilty to the murder and to a second charge of robbing €7,000 in cash and cheques on the same date and at the same location. Prosecuting Counsel Brendan Grehan has commenced his address to the jury outlining the roles and responsibilities of the judge, jury and legal teams.
