The man, aged in his late 40s, was pulled from the water approximately two kilometres off Whitestown Beach in the Louth town.
A Garda spokeperson told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí attended the scene of an incident at Whitestown in Carlingford, Co. Louth on Monday 26 th July 2021. The teenager had been airlifted to hospital in Dublin in a serious condition after he was pulled from Hollywood lake in Co Monaghan.
