UPPER DARBY, Pennsylvania — A suspect arrested in what police believed was a fatal shooting in a road rage incident has told officers he accidentally fired the gun as he was unloading it, reports say. Lloyd Amarsingh, 28, is charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and possessing an instrument of crime after the shooting on Friday morning which killed Jimmy Hunt, 56, of Havertown, Pa.,The shooting occurred as both vehicles were stopped at a red light.Amarsingh told police he had removed a clip from his handgun. He said the gun fired as he attempted to remove a round from the chamber.

The bullet hit Hunt in the left side of the head, reports say. Amarsingh sped off after the weapon fired, police say, but he surrendered after seeing surveillance pictures of his vehicle on television,CBS Philadelphia says Hunt died after being taken to the hospital. Hunt is the father of four children.
