A man was shot multiple times Wednesday morning in Oakland’s Laurel district.
OAKLAND — A 57-year-old man was shot multiple times early Wednesday in the Laurel district in East Oakland, authorities said.The shooting happened about 1:35 a.m. Wednesday in the 3800 block of MacArthur Boulevard. Initial reports were that the man was in a tent when he was shot.
The man told police he had been asleep and was awakened to noises outside his tent. He then heard several gunshots and realized he had been wounded at least twice.
