the shooting occurred around 1 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of The Woodlands Inn & Resort in Plains Township, Luzerne County.

Plains Police Chief Dale Binker tells the newspaper one man was shot outside the popular nightspot and hotel located off state Route 315. The chief said the shooting occurred after a dispute involving the victim, who was not named, and the gunman, who got away. Complicating matters, witnesses at the scene were refusing to cooperate with police in solving the case, the chief said.
