Locals reported a heavy police presence in the area following the attack.
Emergency services descended on East Kilbride after a man was allegedly slashed at a property in the town.
A 31-year-old man was discovered with lacerations and rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance. His condition has been described as stable.Officers remained on the scene carrying out enquiries into how the man came to be injured.
