Gardai are investigating the possibility that a drug dispute led to the fatal stabbing of Willie Moorehouse in Bray . Five men and a juvenile have been arrested in connection with the incident, which occurred on Sunday evening in a playground on Boghall Road. Mr. Moorehouse (36) collapsed and died from his injuries. Authorities believe Mr.
Moorehouse may have been lured to the location under the pretense of a physical altercation stemming from a drug-related dispute, only to be ambushed by a group wielding knives. He suffered multiple stab wounds, approximately ten, before paramedics arrived. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) is assisting with the investigation. A number of knives have been recovered from the area and are currently undergoing forensic analysis to determine if they were used in the murder. The investigation intensified on Tuesday with seven properties at a halting site being searched under warrant. Four arrests were made during this operation, bringing the total number of men detained in connection with the murder to six. The Gardaí have also seized a number of knives in the vicinity of the murder scene, hoping forensic testing will link them to the suspects. Friends and family of Mr. Moorehouse have expressed their condolences on social media, remembering him as a kind and loving father of six children. He was also expecting another child with his wife, who is currently heavily pregnant. Angela Joyce, Mr. Moorehouse's former partner, paid tribute to him on Facebook, writing, 'It's with great sadness I have to say this - rest in peace Willie, the father of my two young baby girls.' She added, 'I can say I spent six lovely years with you and you showed me what a good man is. Until we meet again.
