A man has been charged in relation to the fatal assault of a 42-year-old man in Limerick city yesterday morning.
Paramedics attended to him, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.The arrested man, also aged in his 40s, has since been released under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has been charged in relation to the incident.Gardaí in Henry Street are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Sarsfield Avenue between 4am and 5.15am and who may have camera footage to contact them.
