A 23-year-old man is facing trial for dangerous driving and driving under the influence of cocaine after a fatal car crash in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, killed an 18-year-old woman.
A 23-year-old man, Brendan Friel, is facing trial for the death of 18-year-old Chloe Gallagher Fanneran in a two-car collision in Letterkenny, Co Donegal on November 9, 2022. Friel appeared at Letterkenny District Court charged with dangerous driving and driving under the influence of cocaine. Ms Gallagher Fanneran, from Leitir Beag, Crievesmith, Letterkenny, died as a result of the crash at Magheranan, Letterkenny.
Friel is accused of driving dangerously, taking into account his speed and the traffic conditions, which led to the fatal collision. He is also charged with driving with cocaine in his system, exceeding the legal limit.
