The vehicles belonged to a local business in Wall Township, investigators said.
The owner of a Point Pleasant Beach realty and insurance business was arrested and charged with setting ablaze a group of commercial vehicles belonging to an unidentified business in Wall Township in September, authorities announced Thursday.
Officers from the Wall Township Police Department were called to the business, located on the 1900 block of Atlantic Avenue, at 10:11 p.m. and found six vehicles on fire, according to a statement from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office., allegedly torched the vehicles, the office said. The estimated value of the damage caused by the fire was over $1 million.
Ward was charged with four counts of arson, officials said. His motives for allegedly destroying the vehicles was not disclosed by investigators.
