Marcus Rashford attended a birthday party hours after the Manchester derby on Sunday evening, despite Man United's 3-0 humbling.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag branded Marcus Rashford "unacceptable" for attending a birthday party hours after the derby defeat and the forward has apologised.
Ten Hag upbraided Rashford and suggested he had meted out an unspecified punishment. "Yes, I am aware of it, I spoke with him about it. It's unacceptable. I told him. He apologised and that's it. For the rest, it's an internal matter." Ten Hag refused to clarify if Rashford had been fined. Rashford was dropped for the fixture at Wolves on New Year's Eve last year after he was late to a team meeting but he came on at half-time and scored the winner.
Rashford could be recalled to the United side for their vital Premier League fixture away to Fulham at Saturday lunchtime. The England international plundered 30 goals last season and received the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award.
