Sir Jim Ratcliffe has just one demand from any potential new Manchester United manager - don't rock the boat.
According to ESPN, Ratcliffe and incoming sporting director Dan Ashworth want to appoint a ‘yes manager', rather than someone who will challenge the recruitment department. That could potentially explain why Ten Hag finds his job in jeopardy. Ten Hag has seen his control when it comes to recruitment diminish since Ratcliffe’s arrival. Reports in April claimed that behind-the-scenes appointments had seen his say on transfers decrease.
Elsewhere, former Spurs and PSG tactician Mauricio Pochettino is ‘unlikely’ to replace Ten Hag at the helm. Regarding Ten Hag, he has just a year remaining on his current deal.
