Man Utd transfer news: Red Devils face competition from European giant for striker
Manchester United could face a bidding war with Real Madrid to try and land Mauro Icardi in the summer.
Icardi has fallen out of favour at Inter Milan and was stripped of the captaincy over a contract dispute a few weeks ago. But his head could be turned by Real Madrid as they still look for a long-term successor to Cristiano Ronaldo to lead the line. Yet she denied those reports in an interview with Marca and claimed Icardi could potentially leave the San Siro for a cut-price fee of around £34-45m."We have a lot of respect for Real Madrid.”
