Former Manchester United target Fabian Ruiz's reputation continues to flourish amid comparisons with the great Zinedine Zidane as Casemiro's Old Trafford nightmare goes on
A player linked with Manchester United before their ill-fated move for Casemiro is now being compared to the great Zinedine Zidane.
For Ruiz, it was a continuation of the form which saw him play a major role in his country’s Euro 2024 success in Germany, where Spain were the tournament’s standout by some distance. Had things turned out differently, the 28-year-old could now be a United player, having been linked with the Red Devils in the summer of 2022.
Meanwhile, Ruiz, who was linked with United again this summer, has gone from strength to strength, with his brace against Switzerland leading to comparisons with French legend Zidane, the World Cup and Euros winner widely regarded as the finest player of his generation.
