His funeral takes place on Sunday
A man who died in a house fire in Donegal on Thursday has been named locally. The victim was Phil McGettigan who lived alone in the townland of Casheleenan.
Mr McGettigan was predeceased by his wife Susan, his parents Bridget & Johnny, brother John Joseph and sister Margaret. He is sadly missed by his daughter Mairéad, sisters Josephine and Kathleen, brother Willie, nieces, nephews, great neighbours and good friends. Mr Mc Gettigan's remains were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post mortem was carried out.
