Law enforcement officials followed the reports of stolen vehicles from Cassville, Mo., to Mills, Wyo.
A prisoner who escaped through a hole in a Missouri jail’s ceiling was caught Wednesday in Wyoming, driving what was apparently at least the third truck he had stolen on his 1,000-mile journey.
Five years ago, Blevins was accused of a similar escapade in which he and a young woman allegedly went on a three-state spree of auto theft and burglaries. 3. On Sunday afternoon, sheriff’s deputies in Wallace County, Kansas, discovered the stolen Yukon outside a convenience store in Sharon Springs, about 230 miles west of where it had been stolen. Also that afternoon, they learned that a gold Dodge Ram had been stolen in a neighborhood about a quarter-mile from the convenience store. Deputies found video of a man and woman who had been in the Yukon, and they determined the man was Blevins.
A woman with him was released, though Mills police said she may still face charges related to auto theft.
