The glass attack victim was treated for a fracture of his right eye socket, for three wounds to the left side of his face and four head injuries

A criminal with eighty-six previous convictions, including convictions for violent offences, has been jailed for four years for two separate bar attacks.

O'Bryan, a long-term drugs and alcohol addict who has since completed relevant counselling courses and who is now in a stable relationship, was told by Judge Neil Rafferty K.C. that "the use of a weapon in a so-called glassing case is a significant aggravating factor." "The defendant picked up a beer glass from the bar and hit the injured party on the head. The injured party fell to the ground covered in blood and the defendant stood over him and then ran off", he said.
